LE MARCHE IN VALIGIA

“Le Marche in a Suitcase” is a project conceived by Wigwam Tourism and Environment Club and “AGRITUR ASO”

The idea, which is summed up by the title, is to put images, videos, information, food and wine products of Le Marche, Fermano, Aso valley and members of Agritur-Aso into a suitcase and take them around Europe to make our territory known abroad.

How do we make contact?

Contacts are made in many different ways: they often stem from personal relationships with foreigners. Most of the time, these initiatives arise  from friendships that owners of Agritur-ASO members establish with guests who casually visited our territory and were fascinated by it.

Two factors attract visitors: the landscape and the hospitality. Agritur-ASO, which  organizes several events throughout the year (La Salata – making  prosciutto and salt meats, La Vendemmia- winemaking, la Festa della Lavanda-Lavendar feast, etc.) provides guests with the opportunity to visit a variety of facilities and meet many people; this makes them feel at home and not like anonymous tourists. This contrasts with the custom of  many agriturisms  that relegate their guests to a sort of Indian reservation, avoiding contact with other  facilities in the area.

Our aim is to create cultural-tourist links among different territories so as to diminish the distance among European citizens and to increase tourist flow. The promoting is based on the principles of economic sustainability and is carried out thanks to the solidarity and cooperation of tourism workers and local producers that work  together, often with no support from the institutions.
